NHS Stop Smoking Services Collection

Frequency: Quarterly

Background to the collection

The NHS Stop Smoking Services Quarterly Return is a Department of Health (DH) central return used to monitor the delivery of NHS Stop Smoking Services. Since 2005 the Health and Social Care Information Centre, previously known as The NHS Information Centre has undertaken this collection on behalf of DH.

The stop smoking collection is implemented via the NHS Stop Smoking Services Quarterly Monitoring Return website (external link).

The return is made in an excel spreadsheet which is downloaded in the first quarter of each year. The same spreadsheet is then used in each quarter to report throughout the year. Each quarter's return is on a separate tab within the workbook.
